Hello! I opened the Tasteful Touches stamp set for the first time today, and it really lends itself to simple stamping! The first card was one that was inspired by another demonstrator, and I had to make my own version.

I am crazy about these feathers! I made a standard A2 folded card (4 and 1/4 by 5 and 1/2) from Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock (I really love heavier papers for card bases), cut a Basic Gray mat at 4 by 5 and 1/4 inches, and the card front at 3 and 3/4 by 5 inches. I used my Stamparatus stamping tool, but you could certainly use a clear block. The advantage of the Stamparatus was that I started with the first gray feather placed about 1/2 inch from the left edge, then I moved the plate one notch for the second gray feather, and moved it two more notches for the third gray feather. After cleaning the stamp, I moved it back one notch for the red feather! Easy peasy! I used it again to stamp the sentiment.
The second card took a few minutes longer, but was still simple stamping. I again used the thick cardstock for the base, covered the front with black cardstock, and stamped the images on a piece of 4 by 5 and 1/2 inch Very Vanilla in black.

I started with the little squares, stamped off once to fade them a bit. Then I stamped the leaves multiple times, and thirdly the focal point flower. The sentiments with this set are so beautiful. I used a fine tip black pen to draw the flower’s stem, and glued the card front so that the black showed at the top and bottom of the card.
I hope you enjoyed the cards, and encourage you to check out this beautiful stamp set. The materials used are linked below. Thanks for looking!
