Because I sell cards and teach cardmaking, I need to stay ahead of the seasons! I am teaching a Christmas card class this week, and have designed three cards. First is a fun fold, with 4.25 by 8.5 inch cardstock, folded at 2.75 and 7 inches.
The gorgeous paper is Brightly Gleaming designer paper, and the stamp set is Christmas Gleaming, with coordinating punches. Punches are great if you don’t have a diecutting/embossing machine! After the fold, I just made panels to fit, stamped and punched the ornaments (and their “shadows”), gluing them to the left panel, with one overlapping the gap, and I stamped a sentiment from the Still Scenes stamp set, matted it and glued that to the right panel.
Next I made a simpler card, using two of the designs from Toile Tidings designer paper, Real Red cardstock for the mat, and Real Red Ruched Ribbon. I stamped the sentiment using stamps from the Merry Christmas to all set, and cut it and the mat with the Stitched Shapes ovals.
Lastly, I used the Snow Globe Shaker Domes, Snow Globe Scenes dies, and Still Scenes stamp set. I love this suite, and can imagine lots of non- Christmas snow globes! The stamps and dies give you lots of options for scenes, and I chose to combine the homestead stamp with the church diecut. Our Snowfall Accents Puff Paint adds to the dimension. The paper is another design from the Brightly Gleaming set.
